Program’s purpose:

EPAPSY, in collaboration with UNHCR, implements the Community Psychosocial Workforce (CPW) program, with the aim to facilitate the provision of psychosocial support services to refugees and asylum seekers by refugees and asylum seekers. In the CPW program, refugees / asylum seekers are trained to take on paraprofessional roles as Community Psychosocial Workers within the refugee communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Guidance, supervision, and capacity building of a team of 5-6 Community Psychosocial Workers (CPWs)
  • Participation in the selection and training of new team members
  • Focal point concerning the choice, delegation and monitoring of referrals to the CPW program
  • Close collaboration with the clinical supervisor, the project manager and the project officer
  • Preparation of the team concerning its daily/weekly/monthly activities
  • Connection of the CPWs with internal and external partners
  • Participation in the weekly team meetings and the monthly staff meetings
  • Participation in necessary trainings
  • Preparation, coordination, and execution of information sessions with other actors
  • Availability to assist CPWs and answer their questions during the day

 

Required qualifications and skills:

Profile

  • University degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • Work permit as a psychologist or social worker
  • A master’s degree on a relevant topic will be considered an asset
  • Education on counseling psychology is highly valued
  • Education on and experience with clinical supervision is highly valued

Experience

  • Previous working experience within the field of refugee mental health is highly valued
  • Previous working experience of coordinating teams is highly valued

Required Professional skills

  • Very good knowledge of the refugee context and current situation in Greece
  • Excellent communicational and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of the NGO world, and particularly of available services in Attica
  • Ability to work and coordinate a multicultural team

Language

  • Fluency in Greek
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • An addition language will be considered as an asset

Computer skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
